Documentation Versions
This page explains how documentation versions work in SynapticWorks.
What “Latest” means
Latest is the newest public docs version. It reflects current behavior and is the best starting point for most readers.
What “Archived” means
Archived versions are older documentation snapshots. They are kept for reference and migration support, but they may not include the newest features or wording.
What “Retired” means
Retired versions are no longer served as normal docs pages. If you visit a retired version URL, you will get a retirement notice and links to the latest docs or closest matching page.
How to switch versions
Use the version switcher shown in the docs header and sidebar to move between versions.
- Switch to Latest for current guidance
- Use Archived when checking older behavior or links
Retiring older versions (deprecation window)
When we retire older documentation versions, we keep a deprecation window so teams have time to update bookmarks and internal links.
Compatibility promise for old URLs
Older URLs may continue to work by redirecting to the closest matching page in a supported version.
Report a docs issue
If you spot outdated or unclear documentation, please report it via the main SynapticWorks site:
